Issue and return gear

Open a callout, training, or event and use the Equipment tab. Add the items going out, and each one moves through Assigned → Out → Returned as the operation runs.

Trainings and events use a simpler set of states than callouts, since they do not carry the same operational stages.

From the mobile app, the mission equipment screen shows what is signed out and what is still outstanding. Scan items as they are loaded, or add them by hand — not everything carries a barcode, and the flow does not assume it does.

At demobilization, scan items back in. Anything unaccounted for is called out clearly, so a gap is found while the team is still together rather than the next time somebody goes looking for that item.

Teams handle personal equipment differently — some issue items to members to keep, others pool everything and check it out per operation. Both work: issue an item to a member and it stays with them and shows on their profile, or leave it in the cache and deploy it per mission.
